Connecting the MP3 Player to the Radio module in the 2003-2004 Range Rover

Supports MKIII Navigation computer

Open the Storage compartment on the rear left side of the car where the navigation computer is located,

Panel Removed

Remove the plastic trim piece at the bottom of the access panel, by removing the 3 plastic screws and left side trim piece Range Rover Radio trim removal instructions

Once the Trim is removed, disconnect the single 40 pin radio connector by gently lifting the locking lever by gently pressing on the center of the locking lever.  Once the tab in the center is pressed, you can gently lift the tab up about 45 degrees in order to remove the connector.  

Connect the 40 pin radio connector to the 40 pin adapter harness simply by inserting the connector into the adapter.

Once the connector is fully attached to the adapter, gently press down on the locking lever to lock in place.

Once complete, connect the new 40 pin adapter back into the original radio plug.


Test operation of unit and then reinstall plastic trim pieces to complete installation.
If installing in the Range Rover with CD headunit, we suggest to connect the MP3 player to the CD changer 3 and 6 pin plugs in the glovebox. You will need to remove the cd changer to access the CD changer connectors.
